Thai Chinese are the largest minority group in Thailand and the largest overseas Chinese community in the world with a population of approximately 10 million people, accounting for 14% of the total population of the country as of 2012. تايلاند هي موطن أكبر جالية صينية في الخارج في العالم ويبلغ عدد سكانها ما يقرب من تسعة ملايين شخص، وهو ما يمثل 14 في المئة من سكان تايلاند حسب عام 2012.
There are different dialects such as Phitsanulok, Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri(traditional dialect), Thonburi, but Standard Thai is influenced by Thai chinese in Bangkok, Isan which is influenced from Lao and widely used in the northeastern area, Southern Thai is spoken in the southern provinces, Northern Thai is spoken in the provinces that were formerly part of the independent kingdom of Lanna. هناك لهجات مختلفة مثل فيتسانولوك، أيوتهايا، سوبان بوري (اللهجة التقليدية)، ثونبوري، ولكن التايلاندية تتأثر بالصينية التايلاندية في بانكوك، ايسان التي تتأثر من لاو وتستخدم على نطاق واسع في المنطقة الشمالية الشرقية، التايلاندية الجنوبية يتحدث بها في المقاطعات الجنوبية، يتحدث بالتايلاندية الشمالية في المقاطعات التي كانت في السابق جزءا من المملكة المستقلة لانا.
